02Getting a good scan

Step back far enough that the whole pile is in frame, and turn on a light if the room is dim. The app identifies objects by recognising them, so anything buried behind something else cannot be counted — spread things out if you want a closer estimate.

If a scan comes back wrong, you can correct the item list before saving. That feedback stays on your device.

03Why estimates are estimates

A photograph does not carry true scale, so the app works out sizes by recognising what each object is and looking up its typical dimensions. That is reliable for ordinary household goods, and less so for unusual or custom items. Treat the bin count as a well-informed starting point rather than a measurement, and check it before buying anything non-returnable.

04Subscriptions

StoragePal.AI includes a limited number of free scans. Pro unlocks unlimited scans, every bin size, packing plans, shopping lists, and export, at $4.99 per month or $50.00 per year.

Restoring a purchase. If you have reinstalled the app or moved to a new iPhone, tap Restore on the subscription screen while signed in with the same Apple Account.

Cancelling. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds. Apple handles all payments, so refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

05Privacy in brief

There are no accounts, and your scans stay on your device. The only thing that leaves your iPhone is a photo you choose to scan, sent for analysis after you agree to it. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
